Strident was formed in 2008, in Cape Town, South Africa. We're a power metal band, unapologetically over-the-top, cheesy and hellbent on having a great time. We even smile on stage, which pisses off the scowly crossed-arm brigade no end. We've played pretty anything and everything a metal band can play in South Africa, generally for peanuts (and not always figuratively). Most recently, we recorded the theme song for the kickass video game, Broforce, which I also scored the soundtrack to (shameless plug!). If you like epic music that tells a story and never takes itself too seriously, then Strident is the band for you.
