Released in 2010 under the Strident banner, Oath was my first real foray into recorded music. It was a homage to the sort of cheesy, over-the-top power metal we grew up on. We also did a music video for "Power Metal From Space," renting out the biggest green screen in Cape Town and having a blast. Ah, nostalgia.

It was produced, mixed and mastered by Jo Ellis, who subsequently became my go-to for any and every project.

Track listing:

1 Prima Lux Ante Bellum 2:06
2 Metal Or Death 4:14
3 Blood Rage 4:52

* NOTE: The music video was filmed to the original demo version of the track, so it features Marcel Christie (now with Loveglove Pyrotechnics) on drums - who didn't play on the final recording - and doesn't feature Niell Schoemann, who did. For those who are interested in that sort of thing.
